Business Description:


Axara Angel combats Fast Fashion by creating handmade sustainable crochet items such as bucket-hats and tote bags. Each unique, specially crafted item will last the consumer a lifetime, and each piece actively contributes to fighting against pollution and waste from the textile industry.

Mission Statement: Owning a unique and handmade accessory that can’t be replicated or mass produced actively combats fast fashion, is more sustainable, and does not contribute to harming the environment. Each Axara Angel item is made with love and care for customers (and our planet!) in mind.


Business Model: Axara Angel offers customizable color options for our heart-patterned crochet totes and bucket-hats. Accessories can be purchased through the Axara Angel website promoted to Instagram and TikTok. Means of payment include PayPal, credit or debit transactions, as well as Venmo and CashApp. Customers (Angels) can purchase these customizable, sustainable items ranging from $38 - $70. Once purchased the Angels can choose from either standard shipping, or direct drop off at applicable Yonkers, NY locations.

Target Market: 60% of millennials say they want to shop more sustainably! Already in 2015, a Nielsen report found that 73 percent of the Millennial generation was willing to pay more for sustainable goods. The State of Consumer Spending Report also states that 62% of Generation Z, who will begin entering the workforce this year, prefer to buy from sustainable brands, on par with our findings for Millennials.


Opportunity: The textile industry is the second largest polluter in the world, contributing up to 15.1 million tons of textile clothing waste in 2013 alone. 85% of textile go into landfills each year. By 2030, climate change emissions from textile manufacturing are projected to skyrocket by an increase of 60%


Industry Overview: According to sustainable fashion industry is expected to grow to $9.81 billion in 2025, and $15.17 billion in 2030 at a CAGR of 9.1%. Globally, nearly eight in 10 consumers surveyed say they value sustainability. Over 70% of these respondents would pay, on average, 35% more for eco-friendly brands.
