Since fall 2023, YPIE has been honored to support Jersey City students on their pathways to college and career success.
Today, YPIE Jersey City serves students from Lincoln, Dickinson, and Ferris High Schools, providing the guidance, opportunities, and support they need throughout high school, into college, and toward rewarding careers.

YPIE Jersey City Awarded NJ Department of Education Grant!
YPIE has been awarded a 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21CCLC) grant from the New Jersey Department of Education – expanding after-school and summer learning opportunities for Jersey City high school students!
Since launching in 2023, YPIE Jersey City has supported 200+ students at Dickinson, Ferris, and Lincoln High Schools. With this grant, we’ll be able to reach even more students with college and career guidance, academic support, and hands-on career exploration.
Our thanks to State Senator Angela McKnight for joining us to celebrate, and to Jersey City Public Schools, Saint Peter’s University, and our YPIE Jersey City Advisory Board for helping make this impact possible!
This 21CLCC project was funded in its entirety with federal funds under the Every Student Succeeds Act, Title IV, Part B, Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) program, through a grant agreement with the New Jersey Department of Education.

YPIE Jersey City Majors
YPIE Jersey City Scholars can select from different “majors” to develop tangible skills and learn about exciting paths to pursue in college and careers.
This year, YPIE Jersey City Majors include: Robotics, Speech & Debate, Science Research, and Architecture & Design. Read more about YPIE Majors.
YPIE Jersey City Spring Showcase
YPIE Jersey City hosted its third Spring Showcase, an exciting event that provided students with a platform to display their skills and projects developed in their majors: Finance, Healthcare, Science Research, and Speech & Debate.

The YPIE Jersey City College Zone
The YPIE Jersey City College Zone is located at 2652 John F. Kennedy Blvd., on the 2nd floor of the Saint Peter's Hall at Saint Peter's University.
Saint Peter Hall is labeled #23 (G3) on the campus map. Students can also work with YPIE staff to identify the best transportation method for them, including bus routes 8, 9, 10, 80, 87, and 119.

Enter Saint Peter’s University campus through the gates located under the pedestrian bridge on JFK Boulevard, near the statue.

After entering the gates, look for the entrance underneath the “Campus Safety” sign, show your YPIE ID to Campus Safety, and follow the signs to the 2nd floor, where the YPIE Jersey City College Zone is waiting to welcome you!
