About this Project
My comic explores the theme of grief, especially the supposed 7 stages of grief. There is a certain belief/false interpretation that someone has to go through the stages in the exact order or that they can only grieve for say a few months. Many people don’t even go through any of the steps and go straight into acceptance, others stay in the denial stage for the rest of their lives. Grieving is a universal feeling, but it’s not a universal experience.
Through this story, I hope to convey the message that the process of grief is not a one size fit all. It differs from person to person, and society should become a bit more accepting of how long the process can actually be.
