ACE
Aspiring architects and engineers in YPIE’s Architecture, Construction, and Engineering (ACE) major have the opportunity to partner with professional mentors to design a real-life project from the ground up. Read more here.
DEBATE
In partnership with the NYC Urban Debate League, YPIE’s debate major trains students in the art of crafting and delivering effective arguments. Through this program, YPIE students will compete in national competitions. Hear highlights from our YPIE Debate students at our YPIE Majors Symposium!
ENTREPRENEURSHIP
In partnership with the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE), YPIE's entrepreneurship major empowers students to grow their entrepreneurial mindset, and develop and create their own business. See the business plans from some of our YPIE Entrepreneurs!
ENVIROTHON
Explore and learn about the natural world of Yonkers through guided nature walks! This major focuses on the therapeutic powers of being outdoors, as well as diving into the academic discipline of environmental science. Students will participate in the New York State Envirothon competition each May. See some of their explorations!
FILM
A partnership with the Jacob Burns Film Center and the DMAC/YoFi in Yonkers bring real-world experience to students learning about and creating their own original films. Watch some of our students' films.

FINANCE
With the generous support of Webster Bank, YPIE students dive deep into economic principles, investment strategies, and personal finance, culminating in a final presentation of pitching a stock to financial professionals.
JOURNALISM

SCIENCE RESEARCH
In partnership with Regeneron, YPIE’s Science Research major enables students to develop their own research project over the course of three years under the mentorship of professional researchers and scientists. Learn more about this program.
