Aspiring architects and engineers in YPIE’s Architecture, Construction, and Engineering (ACE) major have the opportunity to partner with professional mentors to design a real-life project from the ground up.  Read more here.

Book worms come together to read and discuss interesting, accessible fiction. The book club also meets with a book club of adults from Westchester -- sharing our different perspectives enhances our discussions.

YPIE students will learn about the origins of cartooning and comics, create their own storyboards, and start to build a portfolio of their work.  See our students' work in the YPIE QuaranToons.

In partnership with the NYC Urban Debate League, YPIE’s debate major trains students in the art of crafting and delivering effective arguments. Through this program, YPIE students will compete in national competitions.  See photos of our YPIE Debate students.

In partnership with the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE), YPIE's entrepreneurship major empowers students to grow their entrepreneurial mindset, and develop and create their own business.

Explore and learn about the natural world of Yonkers through guided nature walks! This major focuses on the therapeutic powers of being outdoors, as well as diving into the academic discipline of environmental science. Students will participate in the New York State Envirothon competition each May.

A partnership with the Jacob Burns Film Center and the DMAC/YoFi in Yonkers bring real-world experience to students learning about and creating their own original films.  Watch some of our students' films.

Produced by YPIE’s Journalism major, the YPIE QuaranTimes is a way for YPIE students to connect and share experiences during these unprecedented times.  Check out the YPIE QuaranTimes.

In partnership with Regeneron, YPIE’s Science Research major enables students to develop their own research project over the course of three years under the mentorship of professional researchers and scientists.  Learn more about this program.
