It’s been a busy fall for YPIE Seniors!
Many YPIE Scholars just hit “submit” on their college applications! Selective colleges often fill half of their first-year class from the Early Decision/Action pool, so it can be very helpful for students to apply by the November deadlines.
YPIE Seniors have applied to many colleges, including:
University at Albany
Amherst College
Barnard College
Binghamton University
Boston University
Brown University
The California Institute of Technology
Case Western Reserve University
University of Chicago
Columbia University
Dartmouth College
Fordham University
Howard University
Macaulay Honors College at CUNY
The Massachusetts Institute of Technology
SUNY New Paltz
Northeastern University
Northwestern University
University of Pennsylvania
Princeton University
Purchase College
Stanford University
Swarthmore College
Wesleyan University
Yale University
and, more!
We’re also very proud to share that three YPIE Seniors have been selected as finalists for Questbridge, a highly competitive program that gives students the opportunity to attend selective colleges with a full scholarship.
YPIE hosted many other college access events during the fall, including:
In-person information sessions at the YPIE College Zone with Binghamton University, Colgate University, Skidmore College, Lehigh University, Muhlenberg College, Princeton University, Trinity College, Northwestern University, and Wesleyan University
Virtual information sessions with Boston University, University of Chicago, Macauley Honors College at CUNY, and Union College.
A workshop on writing the college-specific supplemental essay with the University of Chicago
Bus trips to the Southern Westchester College Fair in October and to Marist and SUNY New Paltz planned for November.
See photos of YPIE students as they hit submit on their college applications.
We look forward to being there to celebrate as our YPIE Seniors make their college decisions this spring!
