Apply to be a YPIE Jersey City Scholar!

The YPIE Scholars program is an opportunity for you to get support on your path to college!

Beginning in 9th grade and continuing into college, YPIE Scholars are a community of students preparing for college, navigating the college application process, and successfully transitioning to college and beyond.

YPIE Scholars put in the hard work after school at the YPIE College Zone to become academically ready for college.

In Fall 2023, freshmen at Lincoln and Dickinson High Schools can become part of the inaugural cohort of YPIE scholars in Jersey City. In addition to in-school support, they’ll also have access to our afterschool center, the YPIE College Zone on the campus of St. Peter’s University.

At the YPIE College Zone:

• Bolster academic skills and get extra support with specific subjects through small group and 1-on-1 tutoring

• Our YPIE Majors Program provides tangible skills and deep exposure to possible careers

• Develop life skills, meet new people and connect with fellow students and adults

• Participate in engagement activities, trips and special events
