Shari Turell
YPIE Board Member

For more than three decades, Shari Turell has been involved with The Criterion Collection and Janus Films in various capacities, including managing Janus Films' home video line and leading community outreach initiatives during the pandemic. Today, she serves as a customer experience advisor for Criterion, helping leadership better understand and respond to the needs and concerns of its audience.
 
Shari became involved with YPIE in 2017 as a graduation coach for two students at Saunders Trade and Technical High School and continues to serve as an essay coach. As a member of the YPIE Board, she supports YPIE's work in helping students pursue their college and career goals
 
A longtime community volunteer, Shari has been actively involved with nonprofit organizations throughout Westchester, including as a founding member of Impact100 Westchester. She served as Co-Chair of the Nonprofit Advisory Committee and continues to participate in the grant review process. She also spent thirteen years on the board of the Edgemont Scholarship Council, including two terms as President.
 
A graduate of SUNY Albany, Shari lives in Edgemont with her husband, Jonathan. Together they have four sons.
