Ellen Cutler Levy
Incoming Chair, YPIE Board of Directors

Ellen Cutler Levy, a founding executive of Yonkers Partners in Education, stepped down as a senior director after 17 years to join the YPIE Board of Directors.  On July 1st, she will become Board Chair. 

Since YPIE’s launch, Ellen has played an integral role in the data-driven growth of the organization, overseeing its program evolution, leading fundraising efforts, and building partnerships with key stakeholders. Most recently, she helped design and implement YPIE’s strategic growth plan, replicating the YPIE college success model in Jersey City, New Jersey, and Nashville, Tennessee.

Especially meaningful to Ellen are the lasting relationships she has forged with YPIE students.  As a coach and friend, she has guided young people in achieving success and remains in touch as they advance through college into professional careers.

Ellen has over 30 years of experience in the non-profit sector. She began her career at the AT&T Foundation and then went on to the March of Dimes, where she launched a nationwide, hospital-based education program for parents of premature infants.

Ellen earned her B.A. from Tufts University and her M.A. in public administration from NYU’s Wagner School of Public Service.
