Shayla joined YPIE in August 2023 as Manager of Development and Communications at YPIE. Having previously been a YPIE Scholar, she is excited about rejoining the organization and contributing to the team's efforts.

Shayla earned her bachelor's degree in Psychology and American Studies from Cornell University, with minors in English and Africana Studies. During her free time, she finds pleasure in running and embarking on long walks.
