Sebastian joined the YPIE team in 2026 as the SAT Program Manager and a mentor to YPIE seniors. A former YPIE Fellow, Sebastian grew up in Yonkers and graduated from Saunders Trades and Technical High School.

Before joining YPIE, Sebastian taught math at Hastings High School and Farragut Middle School, where he also coached soccer. He previously participated in the NYU Teacher Residency, teaching and coaching at Equality Charter Middle School in the Bronx.

Sebastian graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in 2024 with a B.S. in Mathematics and earned his M.A. in Education from New York University.

Sebastian comes from a Colombian family and also attended DiChiaro School. He is a huge sports fan and die-hard Atlético Madrid and Brooklyn Nets supporter. He also enjoys video games and Marvel movies and comics.
