RUTH GIBLIN
Program Associate, Science Research
Ruth Giblin serves as the Science Research Program Associate for YPIE Nashville, where she supports students as they build their curiosity, explore their interests, and develop their skills through science research. She is deeply passionate about communicating science to students and finding ways for students to build curiosity and explore their interests via science research.
Ruth earned her bachelor’s degree in microbiology from Michigan State University and went on to work as a research assistant in a food microbiology lab. She is also interested in the intersection of science and the arts, with a minor in museum studies and experience working with a nonprofit that digitally archives long-form interviews with communities affected by natural disasters.
When Ruth isn’t thinking about bacteria or science outreach, she enjoys spending time with friends, racing triathlons, and upgrading her at-home espresso bar.
