Olga joined the YPIE team in September 2023 as a College Advisor. Olga earned her B.A. in Organizational Behavior & Change from NYU, and for most of her career, she worked in finance on the New York Stock Exchange floor and later as an Operations Manager in retail.

As a first-generation student from Colombia, her parents ingrained in her the importance of a college degree from early childhood, but it was only until she began helping her own children through the college application process and later as a volunteer bilingual college advisor at Jesus Christ Tabernacle Church, that she recognized the need for guiding students and their families through the college application and financial aid processes.

Olga subsequently earned her M.A. in School Counseling with a College Advising concentration from Manhattan College in 2018. She has worked with students in two NYC high schools and as a college admissions representative before joining YPIE.

When Olga is not tagging along with students on college visits, working with them on their essays (which she loves), or on the application process, she is spending time with her family and her first grandchild (woohoo!), reading, traveling, taking care her 40+ plants, making patacones for her kids, and eating coco ice.
