Maryam joined the YPIE team in October 2023 as a College Advisor. She is very excited to assist students in Jersey City.

Maryam graduated from the University of Bridgeport with a B.S. in English with a concentration in Creative Writing. She began her career in education soon after assisting high school juniors and seniors navigate the college process. She then earned her M.A. in Higher Education Administration, focusing on Leadership.

As a first-generation student, Maryam’s personal and professional aspirations are centered around providing students with the opportunity to become their greatest selves through education. She is passionate about providing underrepresented youth with safe spaces so they can thrive as their authentic selves without the fear of succumbing to imposter syndrome in academic or professional environments.

In her free time, you will find Maryam exploring new restaurants in NYC, baking, reading, and exploring her creativity as an independent Nail Technician!
