Jonice joined the YPIE team in December 2023 as Jersey City’s first College Readiness Manager. She is a first-generation college graduate with a Bachelor’s in Mathematics and a Minor in Spanish from Rowan University.

Before joining YPIE, Jonice worked in the Education Opportunity Fund (EOF) program at Rowan University and as an algebra teacher at Union City High School. In these roles, Jonice combined her passion for teaching complex mathematics with her commitment to supporting students in guidance and mentorship.

Jonice is bilingual in Spanish and has a commitment to the welfare of children– the mission of Lambda Tau Omega, Sorority, Inc. where she is an active member. Jonice's dedication to empower underrepresented youth drives her to create safe environments and boost students’ genuine growth, guiding students on their path to reaching their fullest potential.

In her free time, you will find Jonice painting, traveling, and spending time with her loved ones!
