Hirari joined the YPIE team in 2026 as a Program Manager of Science Research.

Having lived around the world, Hirari grew up across six countries: Japan, Taiwan, Indonesia, India, Canada, and the United States. She earned her B.Sc. in Global Resource Systems from the University of British Columbia and her M.A. in International and Comparative Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. Her academic research focused on multilingual and decolonial education, with an emphasis on fostering inclusive and equitable learning environments.

Hirari’s passion for teaching began when she started coaching tennis at age 17, and she hasn’t stopped since! Since 2020, her teaching has focused primarily on STEAM education, including engineering, robotics, and digital art.

Outside of work, Hirari enjoys traveling, reading, discovering new food spots (and adding to her Beli list!), and making random Spotify playlists.
