Catherine Buck joined YPIE in October 2023 as the Site Director for YPIE Jersey City. She is thrilled to be bringing the YPIE model to the students of Jersey City.

A proud New Jerseyan, Catherine has launched education non-profit programs throughout the state, in Camden, Atlantic City, and Newark, NJ. She previously taught first year writing and business communications at Rutgers University - Camden, Rowan College at Burlington County, and La Salle University.

Outside of NJ, Catherine has worked at a high school in El Paso, Texas, developing student volunteer and service-learning programs as an AmeriCorps member. She then worked in León and Matagalpa, Nicaragua, leading visiting groups with a local non-profit.

Catherine holds a BA from La Salle University and an MFA from Rutgers University - Camden. She calls Jersey City home, where she lives with her partner, pets, and many plants.
