Aldina joined YPIE in 2022 as a College Advisor at the Charter School for Educational Excellence. Previously, she worked for the NYC Department of Education.

Aldina is part of the first generation in her family to go to high school. Her parents were the first generation to go to school. College fulfilled a family mission.

Aldina has a BA in International Relations from Brown University, an MAT from Quinnipiac, and an MFA in writing from Sarah Lawrence. She has won creative writing fellowships from the Bronx Council on the Arts. To honor her parents and share their love story, she wrote a nonfiction novella.

Aldina is Secretary of the Brown Club of NY and a judge for the club’s annual Film Festival. Her son is now at Brown too. She also enjoys fantasy football, March Madness, and the World Cup.
