Aldina joined YPIE in 2022 as a College Advisor at the Charter School for Educational Excellence. Previously, she was a Teacher and College Advisor for the NYC Department of Education.

Aldina is a first-generation student and has a BA in History from Brown University, an MFA in Creative Writing from Sarah Lawrence College, and an MAT from Quinnipiac University. She also studied in Costa Rica and speaks Spanish and Portuguese.

Aldina led food distribution teams in 2020 and won the President’s Volunteer Service Award. She enjoys fantasy football and writing poetry. She won writing fellowships from the Bronx Council on the Arts and was commissioned to write poetry for Yeshiva University. Formerly, she was a journalist and medical editor.
